The spa facilities complement the Arctic setting perfectly. Traditional Finnish saunas are heated with local birch wood, and guests can step directly from the sauna into the crisp Arctic air — or roll in fresh snow, a time-honored Finnish wellness tradition. The resort also offers ice hole swimming for the truly adventurous.
Beyond wellness, Kakslauttanen provides a full spectrum of Lapland activities: husky safaris, reindeer sleigh rides, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and guided Northern Lights hunts. Each day ends with a return to warmth, silence, and the gentle glow of the Arctic night sky.
Glass igloo accommodation starts from approximately €400–€700 per night depending on season and igloo type. Log cabin suites with private sauna range from €250–€500 per night. Activity packages (husky safari, snowmobile tour, etc.) start from €80 per person. Peak season is September–March for Northern Lights. Advance booking is essential — often 6–12 months ahead for peak dates.
For Northern Lights: September through March, with peak activity from late September to early April. For midnight sun: June and July. Winter (December–February) offers the most magical snow-covered landscape and the deepest Arctic darkness, ideal for aurora viewing. Summer provides endless daylight for hiking and nature exploration.
